This dress takes me out of my comfort zone in several ways. I normally avoid high necks. I tend to stick with the fuller skirt of the late 1930s/early1940’s. I am terrified by the though of combining prints. After making this dress, I’m still not sure about the high necks, but my mind has been opened about the slimmer skirts of the mid 30’s. As for combining prints, I think this dress would be more flattering in a solid color, but then I would really rather just live in all black, all the time.

Adorable!! Love it!
I think the skirt looks awesome on you — it is rather slimming. I’m not sure I’m opposed to the high neck as much as the floppy tie. I think that’s too much by your face.
On the patterns — I think that you might have a stunner if you did it in solids or a print top with a solid bottom.
Not that my opinion makes or breaks something — but I think this pattern has great potenial, with some tweaks — though, don’t ignore those narrower skirts!!!
Love the combined prints! And I really love the tie neck!!
I love it! The fabrics are lovely together. Bravo!
I really like these prints together, but agree it may be too busy around your face especially with your va-va-va-vooms. And I LOVE the cut of the skirt, I agree that it is slimming!
I can totally relate to loving dark colors, but I really dig these colors on you!
I think it looks lovely on you! I love the 30’s fashion but always feel it won’t suit me, but looking at you I wonder if I might be able to. You look great!
Thanks, everyone!
