Please excuse all the threads. I wanted to take pictures of this as soon as I finished it. This is my third time making St. James. The second one is a Christmas gift, so there are no online picture of it. Like the others, I used knitpicks.com Comfy Worsted. Having a wool allergy means that it’s hard to find nice yarn and the knitpicks.com Comfy line feels great in the hands, is affordable and comes in lots of great colors. I knit this one up exactly as the first one, with one except. At the suggestion of a good friend, I switched to a smaller needle. WOW! That made a huge difference in fit. It was a nice sweater before, but this version is fantastic! I love wearing it and feel great in it. If I had a closet full of them, I’d wear them everyday. The only drawback is the monotony of stockinette. After knitting 3 St.James sweaters in a row, I need a break.
BTW, the website that hosted the St James pattern is no longer around. You can find it here http://web.archive.org/web/20110723045733/http://www.metapostmodernknitting.com/MetaPatterns/StJames/tabid/86/Default.aspx
